The Corvette Owners Club of San Diego had their February 2017 meeting at the Corvette Diner, in historic Liberty Station, near Point Loma. This was the first time we held a meeting here. We were in the Galaxy Room. It was a lot of fun, but maybe a little cozy in terms of the size of the room. Some changes may be made in terms of the tables and chairs to improve that situation. This may also turn out to not be our permanent meeting location.
The annual COCSD club awards were presented at this meeting. They consist of the:
Highest honor given to an eligible member or couple who are most active in leadership, chairing events and participating in events.
The 2016 winners are Randy and Janet Brown
Ray Taylor Founders’ Award
Award to recognize the member or couple who perpetuates the ideals of the club: inviting and fostering new members, attending meetings and events, and sharing the past history as they remember it.
The 2016 winners are Craig Moya and Lisa Foland
Lynn Wooley Award
Award to recognize persons behind the scenes promoting COCSD and helping put on events and supporting activities.
The 2016 winner is Craig Moya
John Waters Outstanding New Member Award
Award to recognize the person who has been a member less than two years and who is most active in club support and leadership.
The 2016 winner is Leah Johnson
Volunteer Appreciation Award

The 2016 winner is Sam Campbell
Event/Run Excellence Award
Award to recognize leadership through the best activity or event providing the most COCSD awareness and participation.
The 2016 winners are Viki and Jim Lassiter (not pictured) for the New England Cruise and Hearst Castle Run.
