Join us for a great run through the back county to celebrated Bill Hatch’s Corvette 69th Anniversary. Our run will end at the The Shoppes at Carlsbad, 2525 El Camino Real, Carlsbad. Where we will meet North Coast Vettes in the shopping center parking lot at the intersection of Monroe Street and Marron Road
The North Coast Vettes Corvette Club is hosting a Birthday Party to celebrate 69 years of continuous ownership of a 1957 Corvette purchased new by Bill Hatch on August 12, 1957. Our event will be exactly 69 years from the day that Bill, at the age of 25, purchased his new Corvette. 69 years later, Bill still owns this true “survivor” Corvette which has never been in storage and never restored.
The Guinness World Record
There is a Guinness World Record (GWR) for “Longest Ownership of a Vehicle from New”. The current record is 67 years, 314 days. North Coast Vettes (NCV) has applied to GWR to break the record. Our application was approved on February 7, 2026. This event is to establish the new record and to document all the facts. All Corvette enthusiasts are encouraged to attend. Admission is free to all.
