Description: "The COCSD/Sky/Solstice Joint Run: It's time to join forces with our car cousins. On January 25th, 2015, COCSD will meet at Bob Stall Chevrolet at 7:30AM. We'll have some donuts and from there we'll be heading to Harrah's casino at 8AM. The address is Harrah's Casino, 33750 Valley Center Road, Valley Center, CA, 92082. If you'd like to meet us there and not go to Bob Stall (for those North County Residents), we'll meet at the first parking lot off of Valley Center Road before Harrah's at about 8:45AM (where the gas station and the 7/11 are right before the resort). San Diego Roadsters will be there and they'll bring their Solstices and Skye's for our joint run. We plan to depart around 9:15 to 9:30. I'll have a route at the run and we'll make every effort to keep drivers in groups that know where we're going.
Details: This run will be a poker run. Cash prizes will be given for the best and worst hands. You'll receive two cards at the two major stops and a final card when we land at the restaurant for lunch. Here is an idea of the route: After driving up Palomar Mountain, stopping to take pictures at the state park area; driving the back way down Mt. Palomar to Mesa Grande then to Dudley's for more cards; we'll come back by way of 76 to a great Mexican restaurant where we've organized a buffet with each member paying only $15 for food, drinks and tip. The restaurant is called "El Rey" and it's right on the 76 before Harrah's. The driving is challenging and the views are amazing. Definitely two of San Diego's best routes along with awesome views of the valley that are simply inspiring.
If you haven't already signed up, please email me at email@example.com and I'll put you on the list but please do it soon; we're going to limit the cars to no more than 30 Corvettes due to the problems we had last year with the large size of that run and due to the fact that it's a poker run. I already have 13 cars who signed up at the meeting, so we only have room for 17 more. If you can do it, get on it and Let's do some driving..."
