Daylight savings time returns on Sunday, March 10! To celebrate, Maria DeSoto and Craig Moya are collaborating on a run that will include a
“twist”.
We will meet up at the Park N Ride off the Los Coches Rd I-8 exit, 13516 Camino Canada. Meetup time is 10 am, so you won’t lose the hour of sleep due to the time change. The drivers meeting is at 10:15 and we’ll roll out at 10:30.
Participants will be encouraged to ride with someone other than their usual driver or passenger, whether that’s a significant other, a family member or just a friend. Our hope is that everyone attending will take the opportunity to talk and get to know two other members a bit better than they do now. This Club is made up of terrific people. But the “twist” it is optional.
Those drivers who wish to take the opportunity and who arrive at the meetup point with a passenger will get two raffle tickets of different colors. The other half of each ticket will go into two bowls, with one bowl for each color. Each passenger who is participating in the “twist” will draw a ticket out of the first bowl at the meetup point to determine with which driver they will be riding for the first half of the run. At the halfway stopping point, each passenger will draw a ticket out of the second bowl for their ride on the remainder of the run.
You may choose to go on half of the run with someone else and the other half with your usual driver or passenger. In that case, the driver will get just the ticket for whichever half of the run they choose.
Female drivers are also encouraged for this run, as long as they promise not to drive so fast they scare their passengers! Despite Craig’s (undeserved) reputation, this run will be taken at a leisurely pace.
The destination will be Ranas Mexico City Cuisine in Casa de Oro.
