How to Become a Member
Membership details:
People desiring to join COCSD must be at least eighteen (18) years of age, provide proof of ownership of a Corvette, and register with COCSD. Registration of more than one Corvette owned by a member is permissible.
People who do not own a Corvette may apply to become an Associate Member. Associate Members are welcome at all Club events and have the rights and privileges of full members except they may not vote. Associate Member fees and dues are the same as those of full members.
All member applicants must complete one of the following three requirements for their application to be voted on and approved by the COCSD Board of Directors:
- Attend one (1) general membership meeting and one (1) COCSD sponsored event, or
- Attend two (2) general membership meetings, or
- Attend two (2) COCSD sponsored events.
Voting and approval will take place the month following the completion of one of the above requirements.
Applicants must be sponsored by two (2) COCSD members in “good standing”. A member in “good standing” is a Lifetime Member or an Individual or Joint Member whose dues are current.
A new member must show “Proof of Insurance” for any Corvette used during a COCSD event or activity.
A new member must submit a completed application accompanied by appropriate fees and/or dues.

As a member of COCSD, you are entitled to the most up to date information about our club, the Corvette lifestyle and our many members who you have an opportunity to meet with each month at our general meeting. Below, you’ll find member specific information about the club.

10 Reasons You Should Join COCSD
- You like choices. We are a diverse club whose members interests vary from: driving their cars – tracking their cars – showing their cars- -restoring their cars – talking about their cars – or just mention Corvettes.
- Like to drive long distances? We have weekend, weeklong, and even longer road trips.
- You like to socialize? We like a good time and do so with a variety of social events throughout the year.
- Like to show your car? We participate in numerous car shows that raise money for local charities. We have our own annual charity car show, Main Street America, that helps support the Center for the Blind.
- What is better than 20 or 30 Corvettes on a country road at ____MPH looking for a place to eat. We do monthly car runs.
- Like driving fast and testing you and your car on a closed track? Some of us do and do it often.
- Don’t like to spend a lot of money?! It is inexpensive to join and our annual dues are affordable.
- Want to improve your car’s performance or looks, we have members who are no strangers to a wrench and love to share the knowledge.
- Your car needs a tune up or more, we know the best mechanics and our club sponsor is Courtesy Chevrolet
- Want to meet new people? We are a diverse group with a wide range of interests in cars and what to do in cars.

New Member Spotlight
Hi I met Craig Moya racing our Vettes at Chuckwalla15 years ago. Recently we got our 3rd Electron Blue C5Z06 and soon after met Craig again at COCSD go karts.
Back ground 30 year US Navy and Federal air traffic controller retired. 26 years at Lindbergh tower. At 68 years old still enjoy maintaining and vintage racing both the 88 IMSA GTO Camaro and a 93 SCCA GT1 Camaro.
Our next vintage gto/gtu race in April at Long Beach. See my racing videos at Mrpassmenow on you tube. Other interests hosting races on a 4 lane slot car track, along with many laps on the Iraciing simulator. We enjoy our 1 indoor cat and 55 plumerias, 35 different varieties in the yard.
