This is the 6th year we have made the run from San Diego through the back country road to Palm Desert.  We will have lunch in Palm Desert…. then we have two options, one group will head back to San Diego, and the other group will meet up with the Palm Springs Corvette Club for dinner, and then, the next day  **(change of plans) ** (Sunday) we will join the Palm Springs Club at the Big Rock Golf & Pub in Indian Springs for the ROCK the RIDE CAR SHOW on the 18th Fairway (Live Music * Classic Cars & Bikes).  The show is from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.  The group will pick a mutually agreeable time to caravan home.

I encourage you to sign up for the upcoming run to Palm Desert. As you all know, Alex Best, has been working with other clubs to create some collaborative efforts. Mostly clubs that are in our SW region and are relatively accessible to us and in turn for them as well. Alex is arranging this event with his friend Stan Moreno, who is the President of the Palm Springs Corvette Club.
I am assuming most of you would like to participate in this very special opportunity. Once we have a head count, Alex  will look into hotel options for what will amount to a 1 or 2 night stay. If you choose to go home after Joshua Tree, that is fine as well. Alex and Gloria Best will be staying for 2. This time of year will be the start of Snowbird Season so it is in our best interest to get our overnight reservations in asap. Additionally, Stan Moreno from the Palm Springs Corvette Club needs a head count for restaurant reservations.
Stan is a Great leader for his club and they do a number of overnight events throughout the year which he has enthusiastically  invited us to attend. We will keep you posted on those.
