RUN TO PALM DESERT
This is the fourth year we have made this journey to the dessert and plan again to have it at the OMNI RANCHO LAS PALMAs RESORT in Palm Desert. They in the past they have gone out of their way to set up a special menu and price along with seating in some great spots at the resort.
We will meet at Wendy’s located at 1660 Main Street, Ramona at 9AM, drivers meeting 9:15, and depart 9:30. It’s about a two-hour drive to Palm Desert with a restroom top at the Cahuilla Casino at 52702 Ca 371. We will have lunch at the Omni Rancho las Palmas Resort. They have made a special menu with choice of sandwiches or salads, sides, drink, tax, and tip for $29 per person prepaid. (See attached menu below) Please sign up on website and pay for your lunch in advance.
If you plan to stay in the area after lunch, please advise the run leader.
We will return via Ca 86 down past the Salton Sea to S 22 that takes us to Borrego and back to Ramona. This is our longest run of the year and with the lunch, it takes most of the day to complete.
