A few COCSD members have been to AMP, located in Litchfield Park, Arizona, west of Phoenix. They’ve reported that the 2.26-mile, 16-turn course is fun and we should all check it out. So that’s what we’ll do for a track day hosted by the Arizona Region PCA on Saturday, April 17.
Depending upon the COVID restrictions in place that weekend, there may or may not be in-car instruction. Check here for updates. There will be novice (beginner), intermediate, experienced and advanced run groups. Each group is expected to get four 30-minute sessions.
The cost for the track day is $200 for beginners and $175 for registrants to the other run groups. Registration link
AMP is 330 miles from Bob Stall Chevrolet, approximately a 4.5-hour drive if we leave on Friday morning. You can return home on Saturday evening, or stick around and head home on Sunday. There are hotels in the area, including the Best Western Plus Surprise – Phoenix NW. Best Western Plus link
