Grand Prix of Long Beach

Date/Time
Date(s) - 04/11/2019 - 04/14/2019
All Day

Location
Long Beach Convention Center

The COCSD Racing Team is going to head up to Long Beach in April to watch the pros race.

The Grand Prix of Long Beach is actually several races, including the IMSA GTLM Sports Car race on Saturday, with Team Corvette, along with the BMWs, Porsches and Ferraris in that class.  The Indy Car race is the “grand finale” on Sunday.  There are other races as well, including the Historic IMSA Challenge, with classic sports cars.

There is a Corvette Corral on Friday and Saturday, which will include Corvette parking, a big hospitality tent, lunch on Saturday and guest speakers both days.

There will be autograph sessions for both the Indy Car drivers and the GTLM teams.  You may want to bring something for them to sign.  Or pick up one of the autographed posters they will bring.

The Convention Center will be filled with race-related vendors and displays.  In past years, it has also served as the paddock for the Pirelli World Challenge teams.

K1 Speed will be setting up a temporary kart track at the top of a parking structure next to the convention center.

Ticket prices for the 3 days, with reserved seating for Saturday and Sunday are around $150.  There are extras that can be purchased.  Or you can get general admission passes with no reserved seating.

The Corvette Corral is $30 per day.  You must purchase reserved seat tickets or a general admission pass to be able to purchase Corral passes.  Parking outside the Corral is $15 to $20 per day, depending upon location.  For tickets and info, go to GP Long Beach tickets and info
