Just Below the Snow Line
On March 27th, we will have the second run of the month. It will take us north to the Ortega Highway and east over the coastal hills overlooking Lake Elsinore. We drive thru Hemet to Mt. San Jacinto “Just Below the Snow Line” and back thru Warner Springs to Ramona. With the recent weather patterns, we might be in store for a scenic drive just below actual snow!! Hopefully.
We will meet at Scripps Poway Pkwy, between Yanni’s Restaurant (12015 Scripps Highlands Dr.) and the Shell station at 9 AM, Drivers Meeting 9:15, and Depart at 9:30. We plan a restroom stop in San Clemente, a “bring your own lunch” break at the Valley Wide Park in Hemet and in addition, we will not stop at the Dairy Queen in Anza as there are no restroom facilities available at the restaurant or the gas station next to it. We will proceed further south to the Cahuilla Casino where there are restrooms and gas. This is a longer than usual run and food and drinks will be a good thing. Because of COVID restrictions, restaurant dining is not available. So bring your lunch and a chair for a picnic in the park.
