The COCSD vs. San Diego Miata Club challenge format has pretty much run its course. So instead, we’re going to have an “every racer for himself or herself” Sports Car Owners Challenge every four months. The first one is Wednesday, July 11. You must own a sports car (2 seats, quick and fun to drive) to participate.
By racing on a weeknight, we can get a very special deal from K1 Speed – San Diego. We will use the full Grand Prix format, with all competitors getting TWO 13-lap qualifying sessions AND a 16-lap race for position. The cost will be just $39! It’s usually $55.
We will have one, two or even three run groups, depending upon how many racers show up. First qualifier seeding will be based upon your fastest lap time at K1 Speed – San Diego.
Karting is great fun and the perfect way for COCSD members to earn their Racing Team t-shirt.
